Telephone Calls. To ensure close medical follow-up, we may ask you to call us to report on your condition. My staff is specially trained and can answer many of your questions. If you need to speak to me personally, I will speak to you when you call, or I will return your call as soon as possible.
Emergency Care. If you have an urgent problem, please call my office for instructions. If I am away from my office for any reason, or if it is after hours and I am not available, we will instruct you how to contact the urologist who is taking my calls.
In a true emergency, or if you have an urgent problem and you are not able to contact me or the covering urologist, it is best to go to the Emergency Room of the nearest hospital where the physician on duty will begin treatment, then call me or the urologist covering my practice; or you may call Beth Israel Medical Center at 212-420-2000 and ask for the Urology Resident on call.
Fees. An estimate of charges will be explained prior to
your visit. Our office will assist you in every conceivable way
to ensure proper reimbursement to you by your insurance company.
Surgical costs will be discussed with you if the need arises.
Referrals. If you have been sent to us by another doctor, please give us his or her name and address so that we may report back promptly. We make a special effort to explain everything to you regarding your condition and treatment. If something is unclear to you, please don't hesitate to ask!
